My "Raingler" nets
Through following other's ideas and suggestions here, I decided to try and make my own nets.
The main reason was to keep our dog in while the top is down.
I used 1" polypro webbing, 1" stainless rings, and 1" plastic buckles.
ALOT of time on the sewing machine with heavy duty thread.
Total cost of materials was about $160.00.
I'm still tweaking stap adjustments, but for the most part no flapping.

thats a really good idea actually, and the finished product looks great, you rally put some effort into it.
I might have to attempt to replicate this when I go back home someday. I'll never part from my dog again.

Got all my stuff from strapworks except for thread, that I got at local
fabric store, just heavy duty thread.
The thread on here I followed was "Raingler nets" by mattyrayb I believe is his
user name.
You are on your own making them, WAY too much time for me on sewing machine
Today when I was taking pictures our dog was thinking he was going somewhere. He actually likes it when the top is down. The Beagle
comes out in him and his nose is on sensory overload.

nice job fftri! a friend of mine and i fabbed up some netting last summer but had problems finding out how to 'close off' the rear of cargo area. if i leave the soft top folded down, no sweat, the folded top blocks the gap. but if you decide to take soft top completely out, or when you're running w/no windows and the soft top up (a la rainstorm) you're left with about a 10" abyss that your dog could easily sneak under. we solved it by adding 10" of netting and some velcro and just attaching it to the rear window bar on the tailgate. does nothing for security, but it seals up that huge gap. how'd u overcome this or did u just leave it be, or just leave your soft top folded down to cover the gap?
