Default My Project Harbor Freight Stubby

**Just a note that this is temp until I buy a new bumper, just wanted something to cure my slight rubbing and to tide me over**

Oh what $40 worth of Harbor Freight tools can do to a jeep... lol

I hacked off the blocker beam for the e-disco, knocked off those crush cans, cut the metal behind the plastic bumper and tada!! lol not finished quite yet ... I was going to keep the plastic part and stubby it but I like this look better.

Day 1

Not diggin the holes in the bumper I bought some sheet metal from lowes and corrected that!

Day 2 Same bumper new look!

Not bad at all... I dig it! well done

Quick question:
Did you just spray your turn singles with rattle can or are they actual covers? I like the look; can you post some details? how do they perform as far as visibility? thanks!

that looks awesome and is what I want to do too until I can buy a front bumper. so it looks like you drilled 8 holes to secure the sheet metal that covered up the holes in the front?

yeah there's the 8 screws that you see as well as the four that hold the license plate on. Almost forgot but the recovery hooks help hold the sheet metal on as well; drilled 8 holes for that.

I spray painted them. Just used some exterior flat black I had lying around the house. I just applied a light coat and they can still be seen at night. During the day they are barely visible. But I like the look so its all good. I have heard of spray tinting which comes in a spray can like spray paint which would probably work better.

Any loss of frame strength from removing the blocker-beam? I wanted to do the same.
