Default My own Mesh Top

So about a month ago I made my own sun shade top to leave on under my hard or soft top.

I just went to my local army surplus store and bought 10 bux worth of fabric. Then I just went around and zip tied that shit to the roll bars.

It turned out alright. Kinda stretched over time but most annoying of all made it really difficult to latch and unlatch the freedom panels. But for $10 and about 15 zip ties it was a good starter

After reading a thread today on JF I made another version of mine because some people were going on about which was better of two brands of sun shade tops.

So I treked down to Home Depot and bought some shade fabric. Had to buy 6 x20 ft of it but i got it. And bought some plastic grommets and an hr later...

Its not perfect but I like it for a first attempt and have a bunch more fabric to practice with. Ill probably end up making an SUT sort of covering with it too.

All that for half the cost of and aftermarket sun shade.

What's the product name for the shade fabric? What section of the store did you find it in? I saw this thread last week and stopped at Home Depot and couldn't find anything like this. Asked two people, but they were hopeless. I looked by the paint where the tarps are and in garden.

Thanks.

I found it in the garden section outside. Its called Easy Gardener Sun Screen Fabric. If you're going to do this yourself id recommend getting metal grommets instead of the cheesy plastic Easy Gardener ones. They're already popping apart. Nothing a little super glue cant fix.
