I know this is an old thread but very interested in the GenRight Tire Carrier.
How much does the steel one weigh ?
And how hard was it to paint and install? Would powder coating be better?
I'm not crazy about the tire carriers that open separately from the tailgate. Would there be a way to make them open up together??
I think I'm going with the aluminum one with the bumper to match, to save on weight.

but becareful
If somebody it you in the back , due to the backet it will damage the driver side corner and the light.....but if it happens.. its a good reason to add corner armour![Smile](https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.png)
