Default My new Genright Tire Carrier

So I waited and waited to get one. Always wanted a cage but could not afford the EVO. This is the steel cage. The welds are great and its heavier duty than I was expecting. Very straight forward and took me 3 hours by myself to install. I painted it with Duplicolor Bedliner since its cheap has worked great on my bumper and sliders and it can be touched up whenever I like. Thanks to Northridge and Genright for fast shipping.

Not a rattle, noise, or movement with my 35 on there. Very happy and glad I held out.

Installed without paint as they state in their instructions

It is very sturdy and well thought out. I trimmed the stock brake light and installed it on the tailgate so it shines through my wheel. Used the existing bolt hole for the stock carrier. The CB antenna is on a TF bracket.

I like the fact that you can mount the tire 2 inches higher if you flip the rod. It says to do that for a 37" and taller tire. But it would improve the clearance if that ever became an issue.

Im currently working on making my poison spider corners work with the genright tire carrier. You do have to modify the passenger side corner to be able to clear the genright tailgate hinges. I will post pics when i am finished

i'm doing the same thing. i'm having a helluva time because the passenger corners have to be trimmed so much they almost show the hole where the factory tail light mount eyes were cutout. i need to finish this today so i can send off for powdercoat. can't drive until it's all back together with no tail lights and license plate.
