ahhh...you went fatter (width) that the factory tire which was designed for that spare tire holder with the Sahara. You are about an inch wider with the rubber, so it petrudes more than 255/70/r18 that came with the Sahara. About is big as you can go go with that carrier is 275/70/r18, which is what i did.

you simply need to get a spare tire spacer: http://www.discountjeepparts.com/ind.../1454_130_3623 or google spare tire spacer jeep sahara and you will find lots of options!

Best!!!

So yours are 275/70/R18 and it fits on the carrier. Mine is 275/65R18 and it doesnt fit. They are both the same width, mine just has a slighty shorter side wall. I dont get why it wont fit. But whatever, the guys in my club are just going to cut the third brake light off and then I wont have to worry about anything hitting it. Thanks for your help. I will put pics up tonight !

I cut my rubber snubbers back to allow the spare to fit, its right against the light bracket. I might put something between the spare and the bracket next time i rotate.

Those Duratracs look great. A buddy just had 'em put on his Commandvan this morning. And, Jenna, you're right about the 3rd brakelight.
