Default My New Compressor Mount

So I got sick of my compressor overheating under the hood so I got to work on relocating it some place a little cooler. I eventually decided to mount it to my tire carrier and wire it through the cab. I hacked up my under hood mount and used two 2" wide square bend u-bolts to mount it up. I tested it out and I was able to fill all 4 tires to 28 psi without the compressor overheating. Its a tight squeeze but it fits great and its completely hidden by the tire.

nice location,

At a quick glance your compressor looks like a baby winch.

hahaha It does look like a baby winch. That seams like a great location to put the pump. Im going to have to try that.

Thanks guys. My brother actually wanted me to mount it in the recess of my rear bumper so it looked like a little winch, but I liked my spot better

It'll hold up well without all the road salt, but the dust out here is a killer. I pulled some dash panels off to run the wires, and everything under there is just caked with dust. I have to go in there with a blow gun and clean everything out
