My JK and my almost finished offroad trailer.
Alright... i've been working my a$$ off trying to get this thing finished. The best I can tell, it's a Bantam T3 trailer. I picked it up for $300 off of Craigslist. It's not finished but it WILL be done this weekend. Here's some pics of what I started with and the progress. Also some pics of it modeling with my JK, so this thread don't get moved to another section that nobody ever looks at. Let me know what ya'll think and any pointers are greatly appreciated. Also keep in mind that I had VERY VERY limited access to tools, experience, and money. I did everything myself. I've gotta put a floor in it, put bedliner in the tub, and build a lid. That's about it for now (I think.) Ha ha

Thanks guys. I've got alot of ideas for it, but thats gonna have to wait. I'm gonna put my money into the jeep now, and not the trailer. I really needed it because I have a little one. There's not room for anything else once she's in there. I thought about trading for a 4 door but I love my 2 door. Problem solved for alot less money than trading.

I'm putting the floor in it tomorrow afternoon. I will probably bedline the inside of it saturday morning. I may have a lid for it saturday too. My plan is to have it done and ready to use by sunday at the latest. After it's all said and done, I will have just shy of $600 in it. I don't think that's bad at all considering what I see other people paying for just the rusted trailer.

I've been debating the same thing for my rusted out M416 bed. I think I'm going to go with plywood to start with. Once you bed line it, no one should know the difference. I beleive it will be cheaper as well.

I think it would be worth it to take it to a welding shop and get a metal floor put in. Or low budget and cut out small rusted patches and pop rivit and bondo the metal in.
