Default My Homemade Rear Bumper

Alright, So first i wanna say I'm not rich and cant afford $500 for every little thing i want to get for my Jeep. So i decided to get a welder and work on some of my own stuff. I have never welded before or done anything like this.

So be easy on me. Here is how it came out.

I used a piece of scrap C Channel i got for free. It was the perfect length. i didn' t even have to cut it. So first i cleaned it up a bit. Then cut a few notches to make some bends in it. Next welded them together and then ground them smooth. next I have to make a new mounting bracket. So i welded a plate to the rear of the frame, then threaded it. Drilled through bumper for mounting holes. Cleaned up the bumper and primmer it with some Rustolium. then used Roll on Bed Liner for paint and texture.

Things yet to do. Double up on mounting so it will hold better. Spray inside black Bed Liner. Come up with a good way to cover the upper gap on the body. Also would like to make caps for it but not sure yet.
