Looks great. I bet it drives awesome.
Didnt know if I saw it here, but what would one expect to pay for parts if they did the work/labor themselves?

Sblaine:

I am planning on doing a 6.1 transplant using all new parts, here is what I have listed:

6.1 Hemi..............7500
545rfe.................3000
AEV Premium.......5250
All accessories.....2000

You can easily cut this down by literally thousands, if you use used parts and/or find a donor in the junk yard.

Also, you need a 2.5+" lift to do the swap.....that's what i was told be SLC, so my swap will be including an RE 4.5 LA.

Hope this helps..........

Can you tell my why they said you need a 2.5" lift? I just had a 6.1L installed in my 2007 2 door Rubicon which has no lft. They put TJ Rubicon springs in front which got my stock height back is all.

Just has me wondering if I am missing something that could cause damage later.

I have not had it off road yet very far (still need engine/tranny skid pans /sigh), but far enough to have worked the suspension some with no visible problems.

It now takes me about 30 miles to make the 8 mile trip home from work. The Jeep just does not want to go back to the barn anymore!

You might have a problem with the drive shaft making contact with the header. You may also have a problem with the upper control arm mount making contact with the oil filter.
