No secret really...I have a K&N drop in filter and drive with a fairly light foot. Maybe since its fairly flat around this area of Ohio helps me out too

Dont forget.... These can affect your gas mileage.
1. tire size
2. exhaust/intake modifications
3. weight
4. the right foot
5. altitude
6. temperature
7. air pressure
8. engine condition (fresh fluids etc)
9. Gas quality
Someone with 18 mpg would probably get 13 in another area. I get 17 on my odometer with my 33s and conservative shifting here in WNY, but when I drove up to Vermont... I was having to use the gas more on the hills and altitude killed my mpg. I dropped down to 15 or so.
BUT!.... I think those of you that are getting less than 12 to 14mpg need to really try resetting your odometer and try again with conservative driving and some 89/91 octane gas to see how it works. Try this with a GPS after you get your oil change and clean your air filter.
