Default My Diesel Jk Part II....

Didn't sell it, modified it. Went from 35x12.5x18 on Sahara Wheels to 37x13.5x17 on Rubi Wheels. Had 3" BDS Springs, and went to Full Traction 4" Springs. Sold my Jeeperman front bumper, and went with a Hanson Stubby. I was going to regear to 4:88's, but the VM 2.8 CRD really doesn't even know I upsized my tires, and they are the heavy Toyos. What has amazed me, is the fuel mileage is almost identical. (20-22 mpg) Gotta LOVE torque......

dude that thing looks sick as hell. I was a big fan of your white LJ, but I think you've outdone yourself with this. Glad you kept it.

you were smart to keep it. Id like to see some under hood photos if ya don't mind. I cannot remember if you posted them before when you talked of selling?

Thanks for the compliments fellows! I was a little worried about going to the 37s, but I'm SO glad I did.

Next moves:

J8 60 Rear end

Upgrade my front axle shafts to chromoly.

A long arm in the future. I've got Teraflex adjustable Trac Bars, FT 4" Springs, brackets, etc... And it rides great, just had a long arm on my LJ, and want another. Long Arms are SO incredible... but expensive.

I bought it from a fellow who works for Jeep, and ordered the VM Motori 2.8 428 DOHC motor from Germany. He shipped it here, and they retrofitted the package in at his Jeep/Mopar dealership. The tranny is the same, execpt for the bellhousing. It is the 6 spd manual.

I'm Loving this thing....
