Your Jeep looks great. At least you didn't go the other route and roll on 20's with rubber band tires.

The advantage of 2wd is that you can run different size tires front and rear.

I would run boggers in the rear and trXus in front!

Default 2wd

I plan on doing the something similar to my 2WD. I too know Jeeps are suppose to be 4x4 but I just couldn't justify it this time. I didn't use it on my 04 TJ. I never had the time. This way I get a Jeep for what I like a Jeep for, no doors and no top.
Later on I might go back to 4wd.

Looks good though. Just missing a couple axles, transfer case and front diff.
I'm sure by now you've caught enough crap about having 2WD, but this is the JK forum not the 4WD JK forum. I'm amazed at what mine has gone through without even putting it in 4WD.

Great looking JK, enjoy.

I for one would much rather see a 2wd Jeep being used on moderate trails off-road versus all the pavement princesses that have thousands of dollars into them but never see dirt.

Good job dude - get a winch, wheel with friends, and be safe!

not sure if this is related but whats up front on a 2wd. is it independent withupper and lower control arms or still some type of solid axle.

A 'prerunner' Jeep sounds like a cool idea, but the least they could've done is give the 2wd's an independent front suspension like any other 2wd truck/SUV in the past 30 years. I like Jeeps as much as the next guy, but the solid front axle is a huge deal breaker for me if I was shopping for a semi-capable 2wd. This is 2010, get with it Jeep.
