come on.... the other 2 badges (or stickers) are on both sides. It was logical for me to expect the trail rated badge was on both sides too. I have never seen a vehicle with a badge on only one side before.

Could you imagine someone buying a wrangler on the assumption that all are 4x4? I talk to a lot of non Jeepers and they assume that ALL Jeeps are 4x4s.
"Trail Rated" is a clever marketing gimmick that Jeep uses to make their Vehicles sound different than the compitition. If a Compass can be "trail rated" it kinda devalues a JK's "trail rated" worthy-ness IMO.
The badge is just there in lui (spelling) of a 4X4 sticker.
Like everyone said before if it has a T-case its trail rated. Even an auto.
