Nice work and thanks for your post.

I love the last shot. That's what it's all about...getting outside and creating lasting memories with the family!

Thanks, we had fun and the girls loved the trailer. I hope to someday paint the exterior.

Great story. I have an old canned ham trailer that I need to restore.. My father in law gave it to me and pretty much needs about the same amount of work that yours did. I had spent a lot of time in the trailer threads in here and no one really has retro trailers.. So I had a hard time picturing mine pulling one.. But after seeing and reading your story.. U motivated me. I'm gonna take my first step this weekend.. Replace the broken windows. Keep up the great work- camping with family is the best!

Please post pictures I'd love to see it. Windows were pretty easy just careful not to cut yourself like I did haha. If you want to go cheap I suggest doing what I did and buying clear plastic sheets, I had a company in my city that even cut them for me. I thought this was the way to go since they are practically shatter proof.

Shatter proof is good, lol. I have a 1.5yr old who likes to throw toys. I was actually considering that.. Did u find it to be less expensive over glass?

At a local glass store I was quoted $78 and I paid a little under $40 for plastic. It also took 2 hours for them to cut instead of 1.5 weeks for glass.

During the install I accidentally dropped the plastic and if that was glass I would have had to wait another week for a replacement
