Me too, we have clay out here when it dries. SUCKS! I still am banging clumps out of my fenders and chassis. months later!

This is the closest I have....I don't have a pic of me going through it because my wife refused to get out in "that mess". But trust me, I did go through it right after the F-150.....

I personally have never cleaned mine in 10 years, no lie and no rust

LOL, you would need to remove the caked on mud before you can find the rust.... Although after a decade I would leave the mud on, its probably holding your frame together.
