MOPAR InstaTrunk
Just had my MOPAR Add-A-Trunk installed!!!
Here's some pictures:
View from rear:
View from front:
Top lid unhooks for easier access:
Completely closed when rear tailgate is closed:
Allows access to underfloor storage compartment:
UPDATE:
I goofed!!!!
This IS the MOPAR Add-A-Trunk, not the InstaTrunk which is made by another company! They both look the same, but not sure since I have not seen the InstaTrunk!
Sorry about the confusion

That's a nice piece. I wasn't thinking about one of those before, but now I have to consider it.
I was going to have an alarm installed, but I thought it would be a questionable expense considering the fact that the hood does not lock so access to the siren and alarm stuff would be quite easy.
This trunk would add a level of security I don't currently have with my soft top.
Since I run my two door without the rear seats, I wonder if the 4 door version of this would work?

There's no lock on it, but when the rear tailgate is closed, there's no way to access it. See the 2nd and 4th photos. If you want to open the top lid, you still have to open the rear tail gate because the hooks for the top lid are underneath the top!

I think the 2-door and 4-door models are the same, but not sure - don't have any dimensions of the 4-door version of the InstaTrunk!

Mopar calls them Add a Trunk and you can find them on several Mopar websites (not sponsors so I will not post their link)
The 2 door version is p/n 82210312 and has 3.1 cubit feet of storage space.
The 4 door version is p/n 82210313 and has 9.4 cubic feet of storage space.
Bestop has the insta-trunk, but it doesn't appear as robust as your trunk.
I emailed a Mopar vendor to find out if they know if the 4 door version will work in the 2 door with the rear seats removed. I'll report back when I have more info!
Thanks for taking the time for posting these pics... you got me searching now!

I'm wondering now if the 2 Door Mopar Trunk would fit in the 4 Door JK.
I've already removed the Factory Sub and have a 2 Sub Box with the amp located in the hidden area. The Sub Box would fit perfectly in the area shown in the 2 door trunk pics. It's currently against the left rear wall.
Does anybody have the good fortune of owning both a 2 and 4 door JK?? If so can someone verify if the rear area is similar with regards to mounting points, hardware, etc...
Thanks
