Modified Thule Spare Me 963 Bike Rack
I purchased this rack used for $50 to carry my MTB. I prefer not to carry my road or tri bikes by the top tube being they're carbon.
I have a XPORT 2 bike hitch that I use when transporting both bikes or mine & my wife's. However, when just carrying one bike o be able to open my tail gate door without having to take off my bike.
Thule rack upside down
Holder arm:
3/4 pvc snap on tee; 3/4 pipe adapter, 3/4pvc pipe, pvc cap, Yakima ratchet strap
cross member: 1"x48" square aluminum tubing
Bike trays cut 17" held on with carriage bolts
