Met an ancestor at the dealer today...
I was having some service done this morning, and this 1942 Willys appeared while I was waiting!
I pulled in next to it on way out to take some side-by-side photos.

Yeah, it made my day for sure! The service advisor thought it was really neat that I was taking the pics of the Jeeps together.
I was hoping to chat with the owner, but he was already gone before I realized the Willys was there.

Love Willys
When I was a kid growing up in New York state, my grandfather had one of these on his farm. It was how I learned to drive at a very young age, back in the late 60's. Back then it was only driven on the farm or the woods, not road legal. But back in the 50's and maybe early 60's they used it to deliver eggs. He had a chicken farm, and he was the egg man in that area. Delivered eggs to small stores and also home delivery, all in a Willys Jeep.

Hey I have one of those things.
My GIG is in your brain. so are your tunes. after 100 miles your ears ring from the engine noise, you stink like canvas, and your grin is stuck from ear to ear.
