MBRP roofrack, ARB awning and AEV snorkel (MBRP front modification)
#11
Hey RT, not sure about loss of integrity of the RR as I don't think the 6x 8mm holes in the frame will weaken the structure referring to the design I looked at using the MBRP light bar but this would put the lights in line of sight (my view through the window).......not ideal..... as the lights are very sleek (small) putting them direct on the roof rack is best. I have a ARB tent coming so will keep you in the loop. cheers Mark

Hello Markdsv
I have a question or more along the lines of a favor. Looking at your pictures I see that you have a some sort of Gerry can holder where the tire carrier used to be. Would you have any other pictures of this set-up and also are you having any issues with that weight on the tail gate? I am running 37"s and have decided to run the spare in the Jeep and try to come up with exactly what you have mounted on the back of yours.

Hey Mike, indeed I designed and my local machine shop manufactured the two gerry can design, see some more pictures below. I had no problems with weight on the tail gate during the expedition and I would say it is approx as heavy as a spare tire. The weight is approx 100lbs with fuel, again not experience any issue.

Hi, the ARB tent is very easy to set up, min I would say, just pull out the ladder and fold open the tent. With the mattress in it already it is just a matter of opening the windows and bob's your uncle. No pegs nothing :-)
