Default MBRP roofrack, ARB awning and AEV snorkel (MBRP front modification)

Hi Guys,

Thought to show you the modification to the front extension of the MBRP roof rack. As I have an AEV snorkel installed the 'off the shelve' roof rack extension doesn't fit. So I decided to make it fit I extended the metal plate to past my snorkel and basically welded the plate extension to the MBRP fr frame, subsequently cut off the bottom bit of the frame. Works perfect, and looks good (IMO) the verdict is out. At least I have the MBRP full roofrack installed in prep for my ARB series III tent and accessories. Any thoughts?

I think it looks good

Is the plate extension you added touching your jeep? Cant tell from the pics if will rub against the jeep or not? Been thinking about this for a while. I want to add both a light bar and snorkel but didnt know how to fit it under the snorkel.

Looks good.

That looks great, Mark! I've been thinking of something along those lines (except I'm not into the rooftop tents).

Hi Mark, thanks for the compliments, the tent is a bit of a gimmick as well, as it is quite warm here I am not sure if I ever will get Joanne up there. Isaac (my 7yr old) is pretty keen. Still need to get my tent though, Rob is querying ARB as we speak.

if you want i can take some more detailed pictures and email you some dimensions.

Cheers,

Mark

Hello Markdsv
I have a question or more along the lines of a favor. Looking at your pictures I see that you have a some sort of Gerry can holder where the tire carrier used to be. Would you have any other pictures of this set-up and also are you having any issues with that weight on the tail gate? I am running 37"s and have decided to run the spare in the Jeep and try to come up with exactly what you have mounted on the back of yours.

That is a pretty slick set up. Its always fun looking at the JKs that have the practical bells and whistles.
