better.
the intake has a Cylindrical K/N CAI filter that hovers in the center of the airbox.
In case of water....which is highly unlikely, but possible...the water will settle in the bottom of the box to be drained later.

same hing for me!! i like it. ok it can look better with less bend in piping but i realy like it. it might even be better than the aev one!

that is my kind of mod ahhaha unexpencive and i bet its way more ruged than the aev or river rider. pvc is super heavy duty. is it possible to post the parts you used for the inside of the hood. is it pvc also? or ruber hose? what diameter ? you did not glue it you just strap it is holding on fine? i would be curious to see the inside of the box with the k&n filter.

to be honest i would be interested to make a copy of it or close to it ahha good job man!!
