Default Made my own mesh Bikini Top, 1 day and $40

Got my inspiration from this.
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ght=bikini+top

Ended up with this yesterday:

I sewed an inch and a half on all sides, added the grommets to the sewn edges where they lined up with good spots to strap it down on the roll cage. Threw on the straps and done. It really was that easy. $40 total in it with tax.

On to the pictures:

I took it out for a test drive today. Way less wind inside the Jeep. Minimal flapping in the wind with windows up or down. Only thing I might add is some foam tape to the top of the speaker bar to stop the smacking of it against that. All in all for the money and time it took I love it, plus I made it instead of buying it.

Just regular old thread.....it'll be interesting to see how it holds up over the summer, but I stitched it in a zig zag pattern like this /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ so I am hoping that it holds up. Plus I put three rows all the way around the top and with the grommets in there I think it will hold up just fine

OK cool - I'm sure regular thread would be fine, but I'm going to look for something a little more heavy duty that can withstand the Texas sun/wind in the summer. I'll be making mine this weekend and will post pics afterward
