Nah bro, the LODs are built off of a rectangular piece of metal as a core and are attached directly to the frame in only 3 locations. I think you see the similarity in the dimple die ovals that run the length of the optional slider. This design is proven to add rigidity to the part.
The Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers are built using round tubing as a core and have a removable skid that can be replaced if it gets beaten up too bad. Plus the PS Rockers mount to the pinch seam (like the OEM Rubi rails) as well as in several places along the underside of the Jeep tub.
If you have a body lift (like I do) there is no way to use a rail that mounts to the frame without having a gap between the rail & body. The LOD version is very nice but the two companies are completely different in their overal design approach to this product. I mean yeah, there's only a few ways to skin a deer, but each design incorporates unique characteristics.
