Learning? Wow, those look like really good welds. Good for you! You should apply for a job on Extreme 4x4. We need more women that love to hang out around the shop.

He is referring to voltage. Combine this with wire speed and some fine tuning of your technique and you've got yourself the basics of a fillet weld. Keep in mind there are a few factors that come into play when you select your heat (voltage) and wire speed, such as thickness of your working material and the intended purpose of the piece you are working on. Maybe your friend Mel will get into that when he shows you how to fabricate a custom bumper or some motor mounts for a HEMI.

I'm going to learn to weld tonight at 10:05pm EST after I win the Off Road Evo gussets and control arm skids on the 5th day of JK-mas giveaway.

I'll let ya'll know how they come out tomorrow.

Wayolette if you can weld like this all you need is a little practice and you'll be doing it in the next few weeks. Youtube has allot of instructional video's and do's and don't so it's really trying to get good at Slow and Steady along with getting your tools dialed in.

Look up the Push and Pull technic's as most either like one or the other. I haven't done it in like 20 years but plan to get a MIG welder to work on my own stuff.
