KC HiLites 50" LED bar installed
So Super Jeep is ready for night rides.....sure beats dealing with the hot Guam sun....
When the light bar arrived, I thought it was broken
But it was 2 separate boxes in a long oversized pay extra for shipping box
Everything checked out ok upon inspection
Install took about 3 hours, the website shows washers to hold the bar in place but my kit didn't come with any, the standard screws are solid though....
Progressing through
On the trail
Running
Low beams
High beams
Light bar
I'm pretty sure if I run into any vampires they are toast....
Bugs sure love the light bar though......
So now I'm up for some night rides, just need my buddies not to wuss out!
The install was easy, I was able to get it done myself by using the roof as a pivot point for the bar.
It comes with a crap ton of wire, way more than needed, I didn't have any crimps on me so I just zip tied it up for now.
Only 2 annoying things.
1) The wire from the light cannot be routed behind the bracket since it is flush at the bottom, I wedged it under the bracket and under my hood panel, hopefully some memory will develop in the cord.
2) It creates a whistling noise as air passes by it even at 25 mph. Normally I'm rocking out to some good tunes. Or I just imagine it's folks whistling at my sweet as light bar.
But I'm enjoying it. If anyone has any questions about just ask!
