Picking up a set of black daylighters today. My biggest concern is the metal wire loom. Anyone have any problems with the metal loom scartching paint when you squeeze those wires in the cowl?

Also - the daylighter kit does NOT come with a relay harness. It comes with a basic standard wiring harness that taps from the battery with no relays.

Also - are covers really a MUST? I was thinking about getting a cage instead of a cover. So I don't have to exit the vehicle and remove the covers all the time. I drive to work in the AM and leave at night.

Carefull with leaving the foam in the soft covers. I had a friend do that and he turned them on with the covers on and it melted the foam to the light. PITA to get it off after that.

Anyone on the metal wiring loom scratching the paint around the cowl? I should get my jeep back next Tuesday, so I will install my Daylighters next week.

I also noticed that my Daylighter kit did NOT come with a relay. This is the 3rd set of Daylighters that I have had without a relay. All the writeups I read on this site have relays... are they supposed to come with a relay or are they custom fabbed?

I have used them without relays, I just wanted to know if it was a "new" thing.

Default Another KC Daylites install in Dubai

Again, about 2 hours in total. I have gone for the stone guards instead of the covers.

Got daylighters on mine right now. No pics yet...

Anyone have a hard time getting that metal wiring loom to fit in between the cowl cover and the windshield base? Also - My passenger wiper is like 2mm away from the wiring loom.

Anyone have feedback on this? Oh - and they're DAMN BRIGHT.

Only proble I had installing them was the wire splice, it didnt splice the wires so had to tap the power directly from the battery, other than that, it was straight forward, took about 2 hours or so in the end
