Thats gotta be pretty quick on a 2 door.

How does it do if you drive it aggressively? Is it a handful? I drive fast cars all the time, I'm just curious how a 5.7l/6 speed does in a 2 door JK...

Well, I picked up the jeep last nite and started the long drive back to Chicago this morning. A few impressions:

- the combination of the 5.7L Hemi, 3.21 gears, and 35" tires makes for a nice daily driver

- rpm at 70 mph is ~1750 in 6th gear

- plenty of torque in 6th gear at 60-70 mph to take on the overpasses, hills, and other "bumps" in the road without having to downshift (unlike before when 6th gear with the 3.8L motor was USELESS)

- acceleration is no longer a problem.....and is now fun as ever!

- fuel economy measured on 2 tanks of gas thus far...
- 1st tank running 68-72 mph on the highway with moderate wind @ 17.4 mpg
- 2nd tank running 73-78 mph with ALOT of crosswind @ 14.8 mpg

- I think the muffler setup is still a bit too loud for my personal taste. Time will tell.

- The overall quality of SLC's craftsmanship is awesome. Can't say enough good things about Gerry and his crew!

- more to come after I get home on Sunday...

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Everytime that picture is posted on this forum, I ask myself:

1: How hott does that girl on the right feel standing next to those other women? She must feel anorexic near them all.

2: Are the other women wearing bottoms? It's not like they even need to at this point....

The Jeep is doing fine! I understand you and Gerry are linking up to work on an updated calibration for the manual tranny setup - can't wait to get my hands on it!

Working on my list for "new stuff"....which will clearly include one of your gauge pods!

How's Moab?? Which rig did you take w/ you??

I am afraid. At least I know why folks think they need a V-8 in their JKs. They are hauling around a little extra weight in the passenger compartment.
