I know it seems kinda ridiculous but I think it'd be pretty sick. Has anyone seen or heard of the swap on a jk?

There are some people who have tackled this
This fellow was working on an LS1 swap;
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...light=ls1+swap
Not sure if he finished it.
This guy says he installed a 6.0 LS2;
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...light=ls3+swap
But there were never any finished details.
It looks like the main challenge would be the computer interface.

If you were to do it I suggest using a vortec engine since you can get those down to basically stand alone. I did alot of research for this swap into a TJ before I bought my JKU. The problem comes with the computer like previously mentioned it'll be harder in a JK due to the cambus system they are run on.

to avoid the whole computer mess, would it be possible just to run new gauges to sensors off the engine? Maybe run your own power source to things like the window switches/door locks (if you have those things) and HVAC controls and motors?
I figure if you have a bare-bones JK with manual everything and no A/C, it'd be easiest. What would you need the stock computer for after the swap anyway?
Although, getting an inspection in NY would prove to be difficult since they'd have to plug into an OBDII port.

I'm pretty familiar with swapping computer controlled motors. I'm not advanced enough to make my own harness though. When I swapped a mpfi 350 into my 95 Silverado I completely got rid of the stock wires and computer. Added new gauges, and ran a separate chassis harness.
I still haven't gotten the a/c running but everything else is good.
I'm also swapping a gen 3 6.0 into a 94 Silverado soon. This time I will be keeping the stock computer and gauges and running 2 computers.
I'm not looking to swap anything into the jk anytime soon, as there really isn't anything wrong it now. Other than the complete lack of power. It's just something I want to research for the future.

I'm swapping a lq4 6.0 with a supercharger into my jk. It's fairly easy. We are not using any of the jk electronics except them bcm. We use the Chevy gas pedal and computer and a 4l80e transmission. We will make a new gauge cluster with autometer gauges. It will be running upper 500+ HP at the rear wheels
