JK 4dr flex shots on a RTI Ramp
Well today i was able to put my jeep up on our clubs RTI ramp and see what it would do. I wanted to see how well it would flex with the new lift and 35's. I have the RC 2.5" coil lift and 35's. My wheels have about 5.25" back spacing and they are not rubbing at all in the front. I of course wasen't able to turn the wheels at full flex but i still don't think they will rub. In the rear the only place it is rubbing is where the rock sliders hit the tires. I need to cut about 2" off the rock sliders and also notch the sheet metal on the body alittle where the rock sliders are. The tires were about 2" away from hitting the inside of the rear fender wells. And in the front the bump stops where hitting perfect at full flex. I also wanted to check my rear brake lines. I need to add about a 2" bracket to the rear brake lines and extend them just a hair. It did extremely well as far as im concerned. Here are the pics.
The first 4 pictures are with the sway bars still connected. So for the guys that wonder how much of an improvement it makes to disconnect the sway bars. There you go. The pictures tell it all. I then disconnected the sway bars and it went up a good 2ft farther on the ramp and really tucked the 35's into the front fenders. The rear stayed about the same because the bump stops hit right before any rubbing occured.
So also to answer everyones question (Will 35's rub with a 2.5" BB lift? I say in most cases no.) It would definitely benefit if you had 4.5" BS in the wheels but even at 5.25" my tires don't rub. Ok onto the pics. Here is a link to the slide show.

Well yes maybe i didn't clarify myself good enough but yes your fenders will rub if you still have the stock fenders. Sorry about that. If they are cut like mine then they will not rub. Even with my BS on my wheels they would still rub probably if i had the stock fenders uncut. One solution could be to extend your bump stops to keep the tires from rubbing if you still have the full fenders.
