JK with 40+ Tires

Just wondering what everyone here on 40's are getting for their mpg. Mine is a 2012 JKU on 40" ProComp MT2. I'm running 4.88 gears with a Banks CAI and am averaging nearly 17 mixed city/highway. I was getting roughly 15.5 mg (mixed) on 37's before and thought that was good... until now. Is anyone else getting about the same or better?

No you don't have to install a bypass unless you want the extra tuning they offer. Todays coil overs are offered with internal bypass and compression adjusters and for the most part will give enough adjustment unless you are racing it.
