Looking at your pics, I have a slightly unrelated question--
do the side steps help reduce the amount of road slush that builds up on the outside front of the rear fenders?
My JK is used as a daily driver for a 4-person carpool, and the rear passengers have to deal with some hefty slush buildup when the roads are bad. I'm talking about buildup that opening the door scrapes through.
I know front mud guards will help reduce this, but... I don't want the hard plastic mud guards on my JK, they look like they'd break off on the first dirt road bump. It occurred to me that side steps might take the brunt of the slush spray from the front wheels and stop the rear fenders from getting sludged so bad.
Thoughts?
Oh, and your wheels look fantastic. I'm definitely getting black wheels when I upgrade.

spare tire
the rims have a 4" back spacing so I didn't need any kind of spacing but I am planning on raplacing the stock carrier for the besttop one as for the axles and drive lines I don't do serious offroading but for my needs the stock axles will do fine as for gearing I have the 4-10's and I can't tell any difference in power between the stock tires and the new size in fact I have more power than I did with my tj running 35"s
