I never post on Jeeps FB page. I had to jump in on Salwasser (a.k.a Cupcake). He seems like someone who just wants to fight for no reason. Social media does help to spread the word.

I hope you guys aren't hurt things at this point. This has been brought to Jeep's attention and they want to speak to our friend now where they didn't before. It's one thing to get thier attention . . . . it's another thing to piss them off.

There are good dealerships and there are bad dealerships, there are good workers and bad workers in the crysler orginization. Hopefully the good decision makers wish to take a look at this problem now.

True. But the fact remains that they tried to wash their hands of this before this shitstorm, so letting up now is not an option. Hail free press... Also let it piss them off, they do the right thing we tell that story. If they get pissed off an dont help, well then that story gets told... Either way theres a story thats waiting to be told.

Look up the trans cooler hard line install. I did it and never even had a second thought about trans temps in 110 degrees Texas heat.

All dealerships and auto makers have delt with bad situations before. If they are working with him now great. And they will get all the praise out there once they correct the situation and make things right. Chrysler isn't stupid, they know the only way to start getting good PR out of it is to do whats right.

It wouldn't surprise me if his insurance would pay for it. But this happened right after having work done at the dealer. His insurance shouldn't have to pay for a dealer eff up, their insurance should. I'd be fighting them tooth and nail too!

Depending on when it was built in 08, you might even get an idiot light, the 07 got one as well. But your 08 might have that, depends on build date. I don't remember what is was, you can search if you want the details, it was talked about a lot here.

If you did not get that flash (you should), then as is, your 08 will make a ding, but no notifications of what the ding might be.

Also, if you did not get the flash, and your not sure if you did over heat at one point, You can go to a trans shop and have them take a look. You can check as well, by smelling the trans fluid on the dip stick. Should not smell like anything near burnt and should be a nice cherry red, somewhat clear.
Is this fixed in newer models???
