I doubt very much the wiring is fried......had it actually hit the jeep then maybe yes, but you should be able to actually smell burnt wires. I would think that because it hit so close it probably just surged your electronics and/or the puter....maybe popped a bunch of fuses...??? Did you check your fuse box?

I haven't even had it a year yet...and just started modding it. So the last thing I want is them to write it off....even if they did, i'd just get another one. No need to start my payments over again, lol.

Well today starts the attempt to repair it.
They are starting with replacing the "modules".
$1600 to start.
Adjuster said it most likely will not be totaled, that they'll just keeping trying to find whats wrong till they find it.

Yeah I didnt see them totaling it out. Witing harness is replaceable and so is the computer. They're going to start at the cheapest thing and work they're way up until it starts. I'd laugh if it was something simple after they replace each electric component

If the lightning didn't hit the Jeep, then its probably electromagnetic related. Try checking the fuse boxes in the cabin and motor. Replace the alternator and the battery.
See what happens after that. If it doesn't work, CPU may be needed. IF not, then its no good.

Wow I know we had some nasty storms the other night too. Last year lightening struck my back yard too burnt up the outlets outside, the upstairs TV and computer gone. Sucks it happened to your jeep too at least nobody was hurt.
