Jeep is dead....thanks to Lightning...
See that spot that looks like the gravel is kicked up...yea thats where the lightning struck. Scared the crap out of us inside the house. It was so bright and loud, i thought our TV blew up and it wasn't even on...lol.
Lost our phones, router, and 1 computer.
Jeeps alarm was going off, but the key fob wasn't doing anything. It eventually shut off. So i unlocked the door with the key, since the key fob still didnt' work, and as soon as i did, the alarm went off again. Ended up pulling the battery terminal off. Put the battery terminal back on, and there are no signs of life at all.
Tried to jump it and nothing.
So it's now at the dealership waiting for Insurance and Dealer to get together and let me know the outcome.
UPDATE 5/13:
Finally got the Jeep back last night.
$4800 later.....$2600 in parts, $2200 in labor.
there was a list of stuff they replaced.
bonus ... they did 3 recalls that were on it while it was there, so thats good.
Good thing I had "Act of God" on my insurance policy, it only cost me $500.

Wow....that sucks, but 1. Glad your insurance will cover it and 2. It didn't hit the house and 3. No one was hurt.
Get some cool mods while you're repairing it!!!

I have a few accessories to add to it though, which have been sitting around till it was warmer out. Sucks...first day in awhile it's top off weather and I don't have it. :(

Sorry for your loss. Never fun having a claim.
I know little about auto policies as I adjust very large commercial property claims only.
My advice to EVERYONE is to READ you policies!
Good luck with your insurance carrier.
