I've been thinking about building a trailer to haul my camping gear and to put my canoes on top. I was thinking about trying to find an old Comanche, cut off the bed, put a camper shell on top, add some matching wheels, paint it to match my JK, and do a bunch of other fun mods to it to make a trailer with "Jeep" on the tailgate. Anybody else seen or done this? Pics would be awesome!

I like the idea, but it might be difficult to find a MJ donor vehicle. I'm not a big fan of them, but they've developed kind of a cult following.

I found a Comanche for sale online, minus the engine and tranny, for just $600. Maybe I can part out the rest after I use the bed. I have this crazy picture all drawn out in my head...now I need to get it on camera!!!
