JE Reel Driveshaft Breakage

Many folks are running JE Reel's and this is only the second break I've heard of. The first one was definitely a lack of lubrication issue with a U-Joint failure. (They're supposed to do that.) When I received mine, one of the flanges that attached to the transfer case was machined wrong and would not go on the shaft. I called Jim and even though he'd never heard of such a thing before, I received a flange within a week and it fit perfectly. I am still waiting for a return shipping tag from him by the way for the old one. Good service, quality parts. Don't allow one bad experience to outweigh the thousands of satisfied JE Reel users.

More information, sorry I left it out.
It was a rear JE Reel 1310.
Both of the ujoints broke, along with part of the CV unit. If it was as simple as replacing ujoints he'd repair it himself. He contacted JE Reel and they told him to send it back so they could warranty/repair it. In the meanwhile he is stuck with only front wheel drive. I would have expected better customer service, they should have overnighted a replacement/loaner.
Meanwhile, my cheap RE driveshafts have taking a beating and are holding up great!

Care to elaborate? What kind of issues were caused by running FWD?

I too am interested in seeing if any more has been found out, as I am currently looking for some driveshafts.
I do want to point out though that one shouldn't point the finger at a driveshaft company if one of their items breaks, as most companies I've seen put together their "custom" driveshafts from sourced national suppliers such as Neapco, Spicer, and the like, and therefore it could be a manufacturing error or anomaly on their part that will, in turn, affect more than one company.
