Homemade front D-Ring mounts and windshield light brackets
I was bored a few weekends ago, so I figured I would fab up some front bumper D-ring mounts and windshield light mounts with some scrap steel I had laying around instead of buying them. I had some small pieces of 3/4" steel and some 1/2" plate so I was good for the front mounts. All I had thick enough for the light mounts was some 3/16" aluminum plate, so that would have to do. (Don't laugh at my aluminum welds, I am still practicing with my new spoolgun ).
I finally had some free time this past weekend to be able to paint them, so I broke out the old Harbor Freight Powdercoater and my small toaster oven and powdercoated all the pieces. They all turned out better than I expected, so I thought I would share.
