Hitch-mount Rack...or, How to Turn Your JK Into a Minivan
I needed to get my family of 6 to Ouray, CO, for a week of wheeling with the LOST Jeeps club, and I didn't want to take two vehicles. Here's how we did it:
Valley Hitch-mount Basket Rack: $120
SportRack Hitch Basket Bag: $60
Valley Locking Hitch Pin: $16
Combine all that with the Little Passengers 3rd-row seat I installed on Thursday, and my whole family fits in one Jeep .
It rained a little on the way, but everything inside the bag was totally dry. (They make it clear that the bag is "water-resistant", not "water-proof", but it worked just great.)

So it all sits nice and secure back there? You didn't have any worries about it wobbling or anything breaking?
I have been wondering about how safe that all would be.

I'm amazed at how strong it is. It doesn't look as strong as it really is. I caught myself accidentally putting most of my weight on one side, trying to stuff a bag into one of the side pockets, and thought, "Oh, crap, I bet I just bent it." But it didn't budge. Kinda weird.
