I have seen I believe a YJ with a soft top that only covered the front seats then with back seats removed covered the back... It might be something like this Bestop® Bikini, Duster & Windjammer Summer Combo in Black Diamond at quadratec.com/products/11180_235.htm

I saw a picture of a two door JK with a half hard top that stopped just behind the front seats. It looked pretty badass. I think think the guys at Avenger Superchargers made it. I definitely want one if/when it comes out.
