Got rear ended
I got rear ended on Saturday 6-13-09. One day before my birthday. I was so pissed after it happen.
It all took place in Mundelein going east on Hawley. A man I was behind came to a stop at the railroad tracks for no reason. There were no flashing lights the gate wasn't down. He just stopped to look both ways before going over the tracks. I gave him the horn to go, asking myself why did he come to a stop. Just then I get hit from behind by a 17 year old girl, new driver.
I got out of my New Jeep and said F**K me!! The girl was so upset with herself. saying "I'm so sorry, I so sorry".
The police came took a report gave the girl a ticket.

uhhh... that's not such a bad thing in my opinion, (only b/c is was so minor and no one was hurt) that's just a pay check from an insurance company that will probably cover the cost for a new steel bumper! When I was 16 my car got hit while it was parked. It scratched the bumper and put a very small crack in the headlight, needless to say I buffed out the scratch and the crack wasn't noticeable nor caused any issues with the light, and I walked off into the sunset with a check for $1000! Pretty awesome when you're 16.
Granted it is a PITA

Breaking things and not having someone hurt is not all that bad if someone else pays for the damage. If you choose not to upgrade, I have an extra bumper you can have.

Unless you have to pay a deductible. In which case it kind of sucks.
