Got my "man tires"

no spacers, clearance looks good except the back ends of the rock rails. sawsall will make quick work of that. and no they are a nondirectional tire.

i see what you guys are talking about now. didnt notice at first... and the back looks just like the front. if you notice, every tire is identical and the tread design looks directional.... but they cant be directional, for one thing, they dont have the directional markings on the side wall and second, they have raised white letters on one side of the tire. so if i have the tires remounted so the tread looks right, one side of the jeep would have to have white letters out.
wtf??

no way jose. bright white letters under the blue junk... and the lettering is even different on that side...

yup, run em & rotate em! i dont see a real problem with it. if you study the pattern, it is balanced and symetrical. just mirrored from side to side. besides, how many others are out there running this tire? a bunch im sure.
Edit:
Alright, looked em up in the catalog. I'll be making a trip to the tire shop & have them remount two of these things. "PRO COMP XTREME ALL TERRAIN TIRES, THE ONLY DIRECTIONAL ALL TERRAIN."

Directional???
Does anyone have any experience with this tire? I have a set waiting for me at 4wheel part, wheels and tires ordered online, they stopped in the middle of installing them because he thought they were directional also. they called pro comp and were told they were not directional. So he called and wanted to know if I still wanted them.
I thought they were directional by the looks of them know I am concerned about thread wear and wet weather drive ability.
Has anyone put any miles on these tires? If so how did they do?

As for the directional argument, here's a quote from me on another unrelated thread
"I get conflicting info from everyone I talk to.
Procomp website doesn't mention it, but download the PDF catalog and it says "the only directional AT"
Good buddy of mine, an old school off roader, said "Those are a staggered tread pattern, not directional."
4Wheel Parts first said "yes, directional" until I pointed out the white letters and lack of any directional markings. Then he says "huh, must not be then"
And so on and so on. I've asked about 10 different people and they all say the same thing. HUH?"
So I'm running em black out.
That said, I've ran em for a few days now and I've had em in sand and both wet and dry roads. I haven't found much more than a mud puddle to play in so I can't really say there.
On dry pavement they feel a bit wobbly at times, but then again I'm going from the 29" stockers to a 33" aggressive AT, on a narrow rim, so it is what it is there.
Wet pavement, they carve through the water. Very solid feel on wet roads.
Sand, floats like a dream. Effortlessly snatched a Monte Carlo off the beach with it's front end buried like it was nothing.
Overall the Jeep feels like a tank. Freeway winds don't blow me around so bad and there is a bit of vibration on the freeway but not bad. I had to replace the stock steering stabilizer with a Monroe Heavy Duty. The diameter of the body was alot bigger and was hitting the bracket at full turn so I ended up having to trim the bracket and U bolts just a bit. I also trimmed an inch off the rock rails (don't know if that's a concern of yours) and pinch weld at the rear wheel well for good measure.
Oh and I'm in the process of figuring out the right PSI to run these at. They are a load range D tire and the max 44PSI is RIDICULOUS and you can see how the outer 2" of tread don't even touch the road. I'm down to 32PSI in front and 30 in the back and I think that's gonna be the ticket.
