Default Got the Drill Out....

I've done a few minor mods on my JK. Who cares about a few holes in the sheetmetal or plastic?? Not me. I just got my drill out and went at it. It's a Jeep!!!

Total holes drilled to date are 17....

2 - holes for mirror drain holes (not pictured)

2 - holes to mount an external speaker for the CB on the sound bar

6 - holes to mount a floor rail

2 - holes to properly mount the license plate (whoever thought up the way Chrysler mounted it ought to be flogged)

5 - holes for CB mount and coax cable

Thanks. Before I seal the coax hole, I'm going to redrill the hole a litttle bigger and put a rubber grommet instead of sealant. I think that will look better.

x3 The only thing I could think of is a place to strap stuff down. I just use the seat mount loops already mounted on the floor...

Gotta admit I have only drilled my mirrors but it was really fun to drill holes in a week old vehicle.

I'll be the next to ask... Floor rail? Use? Reason? Do tell...

I am puzzled about the floor rail, but after sitting and thinking about it - I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say maybe its for keeping stuff from going forward. I know in my 2dr when I have cargo in the back sometimes its annoying how it will fall in the footwell. So I'm going to guess its to be a front rail for cargo.
