Getting a lift and I need help!
Hey guys I need some help deciding on if I should get a 2.5in lift or a 4in lift for my JKU. I've got 33' tires and am not sure how 4in would look ive seen 2.5 and it looks good. Im going for the mean look and I'm not gonna do much off roading so help and some pics of your jeep with size lifts would be really helpful thanks and Jeep on!

Well I guess the question is how involved do you want to get? How much do you want to change/modify your JKU? How big of tires do you want to run? There is a big difference in what you have to do for 2.5" of lift as opposed to 4" of lift and that isn't just in cost. Ultimately, from what I've read here, most suggest you to do the least amount of lift to fit the tires you want to run. I personally liked the idea of a complete kit because I wanted to just do it and be done with it. I've read that with 2.5" kit you can get away with stock control arms and driveshafts. With a 4" kit you can't.
I have a Trailmaster 4.5" lift. It was a complete kit and so far I have to say I love it. It rides great on road and I'm running 37' tires with no clearance issues at all. Kit comes with replacement control arms. driveshafts, shocks, everything to allow you to install it and dial everything in. Didn't have to trim my pinch seams either to clear the 37s.
I've had it on the trails but no serious rock crawling and it handled it beautifully. It is my daily driver and spends the majority of its time on the road. On the highway it will run 70-75mph smoothly and without any problems.
Hope this helps, good luck with your decision.

4 inch rc x-series with flex arms.
33 bfg km2
I agree with the pervious post, how much do you want to spend and how adjustable do you want it to be. Along with what size of tires do you want to run are pretty big factors.
I personally like the extra space in the fender wells but will be getting ready for 37s, axles, gears, flat fenders and all the other stuff I didn't have money to upgrade to this year for 37's.
Here are some before and afters of the 4 inch. I should mention mopar front and rear bumpers, winch in the front, two pull pals in the rear storage area, 2 steel toolboxes full of tools and about another 150lbs of recovery shackels, d rings and what nots in it also. With stock springs in it was sagging about 2 inches.

Do the 2 1/2" lift....my friend has a 4" on his jku and 33's and it is too much...especially considering that km2's run small. 2 1/2" will be perfect for what u want and if you ever go to 35's spacers and/or flat fenders will have you ready

Can't use correct grammar...
Probably just bought his Jeep and thinks he's real big stuff...
And has nothing better to do than just sit at home and talk shit.
You go man! thanks for the advice everyone else! I think I'm gonna go with the 2.5 in lift!
