Just a guess but you live in Europe, yes. So i can understand you bein gaga over diesel engines. You guys were lucky enough to get a diesel engine in the jk, but when it comes to offroad I'd have to say that n/a engines are king 1) no turbo lag 2) that diesel put out like what 210-215hp? The hemi puts out 330hp n sometimes its power alone that gets you out of trouble. Would you agree? Plus theres nothing thats sounds like a V8 runnin duals. When you get a chance check out cop 4x4's "orange crush" and you'll see n hear what i mean. No offense but i love Hemi's.

has anyone thought about trying the diesel out of the sprinter van? since its dodge not freightliner name on it now, that in line 5 puts out good power and it smooth, and should be a smaller sized engine

Hi guys,

Ive got a 2008 CRD here in Australia..... Ive done close to 18.000 miles on it now and it runs like a dream. Engine has actually just worn in for that mileage. ( for a diesel engine that is.) I recommend chipping the 2.8 CRD if you want over 200 horses and the extra torque, its well worth it.. My next upgrade is goin to be a fgree flow exhaust with no muffler ( as diesels dont really need them). Will be intresting to see what it pushes then. I use my jeep as a daily driver and wheel it relativally hard, or as hard as i can with 33's and im never going back to petrol engines. This is my first diesel and ive always had petrol motors in my previous cars. The extra horses and torque is awesome and i can blow away alot of cars on takeoff. Have taken it up to 180km/hr aswell and its very stable.

Just my 2 cernts on the topic.

Could someone help me put a parts list together for what exactly would be needed to pull off a 2.8l liberty diesel conversion...minus the making it fit part...I'll leave that to a pro. Just need a part list...
