Default Flush tali lamps for $30

After breaking a JK tail lamp for the seconds time I decided to replace them with flush mounted lights. I already had the Auto Zone special fog lamps I used for reverse lights.

Parts:
Car Quest stop / turn / tail lights - 2 for $19
Ace Hardware sheet metal - $7.50
Ace Hardware weather stripping - $3.50
Total Cost: $30

I commend you for having the guts to drill into the quarter panels like that, looks like you wheel the crap out of your Jeep

Exactly...it's a dedicated trail truck. It might look cheap, but it will work perfectly, is sealed from water, and will help prevent further damage to the lamps. Mission accomplished.

I'm definitely more about function than form. My fender sawzall mod cost me $0.00. My neighbors were horrified watching me do it.

these lights work great I have used them in many instances but the install could have been neater. go to any truckstop and you can get these cheap. when they break just pull it out and unplug it and plug in the new one and they are available in LED in in amber, red and clear.
