I have had my opposite corner tires on my 07 Rubicon stuffed so far up into the wheel wells they are actually rubbing and didn't hurt anything except maybe put a couple of rub marks on the underside of the wheel wells. The liklihood of damaging something is pretty small because if you're stuffed that far, you're probably going pretty slow.
