i wasn't far off... i guessed 9" of lift and much larger tires... but sounds like you are doing what i am going to do someday... 6" kit plus 2.5" BB right?

you don't need 8.5" of lift for 38" tires, with those fenders. lower center of gravity is better. you could fit 38.5" tires in there now and still have plenty of room to flex.

i want to have a lot of flex....... thats why i want more lift i know i could still flex on 38.5's right now
as far as 40's on dana 44s i think ill be ok
i will have full coromoly shafts in them so they should be strong enough

Seems like alot of lift for 40's?? I figure that 5-6" would be max with cut fenders......Thats still a big ole tire even for a built 44. Are you going 35 spline and CTM's in the front or what? You may want to think of going bigger. It will cost more now but less in the long run. A 9 inch with 60 outers or a Dana 60 in the front would be better.

I have a 2001 dodge dakota that had 140,000 in a little over 2 years...now it has a 412 stroker engine and 600+hp with a 400 shot. I did my swap in it because of the miles, because when it blew a little light went off above my head, kinda like SLICKWILL...LOL...he has another DD and he have a bell go off or something, maybe the sickness got him, although I think it did a while back.
