Default Fixed my headrests

So I know this really does not qualify as a write-up, but I figured I would share in here since I explain what I used and how I installed them.

REQUIRED ITEMS:

- 2005 Toyota headrests (from my wife's 4Runner, she has DVD players so I used her factory ones)
- 1/2" drill bit

The spacing was exactly right on the support stems of the headrest, so after removing the factory headrests, I drilled out the locations to accept the larger diameter stem of the Toyota headrests, and thats all she wrote

1000x more comfy, and leather to boot

Looks great! Is the color close? can't tell from the pic.

Also, does your JK now have DVD screens, or are new DVD headrests the reason you got the old ones???

Very nice either way.

Thanks bud, the match is almost perfect, aside from them being leather. I wish on the DVD players, but those stayed in the 4Runner. Toyota installed the headrests when the 4Runner was new, and still gave us the original ones. I was cleaning the attic and found them back in a corner. SO HAPPY

Is that gray leather? If so, there's my next mod. I hate the jeep headrests.

You are kinda commited once you drill them out. LOL. But they CAN'T be worse than the factory ones. Nice idea!

Looks good, with them drilled can you still adjust them up and down?

Yes, the plastic holes are all I had to enlarge, I held the clips open while I drilled. The spring loaded metal clips are still in the inserts and work fine
