So the dealership told me they couldn't do anything about the tire and told me to contact an "authorized goodyear dealer." So I went to discount tire and they told me it was "road hazard" damage and goodyear probably wouldn't warranty it. Bummer. It looks like a rock or something took a chunk out of the sidewall and when I was flexed up it couldn't handle it.

No sticks or rocks around, just must have found a weak spot in the sidewall. All in all I had a blast!
Well it's obvious you have an illness many of us share. Such a positive attitude about blowing out a tire, stating you had a blast doing it, you need more than a new tire. You need some therapy my friend. Congrats on your first real mod, shocks can sure make a difference..

Yea, too bad I can't get my doctor to recognize my illness. I'm going to keep trying to explain that to only cure is if they buy me a lift. And wheels. And 40's. Gears, driveshafts, a hemi, snorkle, hood, bumpers... Dang the list keeps going!

If your already thinking 35's you will be disappointed with anything less. Save your money and go with 35's....

So it happened again. Front drivers side this time, and pretty much the exact same place. I'm starting to wonder if I got a bad batch of tires or something?

Looks like I'm getting closer to some 33s... Has anyone else had issues like this with their stock 255/75/17 sra's?

Yea some day I'll be rolling on 37s, just probably not for about 3 years. I'm definitely going to be purchasing discount tires replacement and road hazard stuff on my next set.

Well, it happened. I found some 15 inch rims I couldn't refuse, snds they came with some very used 35" old school goodyear mtr's. I got 6 rims and 4 tires out of the deal. It really makes a difference
